The 38th Annual Mathematics Symposium took place on November 9th and 10th, 2018, with a record high attendance.
Professor Jason Cantarella of the University of Georgia opened the symposium with a very accessible talk on robotic motion and projectile motion in the new Ogden Hall auditorium to a near capacity crowd. There were 16 smaller talks on Friday night and 18 more smaller talks on Saturday morning, from current students, mathematics alumni, and WKU faculty. Friday night wrapped up with a career panel and the play "Math News". Dr. Thomas Grandine (pictured) from Boeing closed the symposium on Saturday morning with the very visual and accessible talk "Applications of Contouring".
