Classes beginning at 4pm today on the WKU Bowling Green campus are canceled. ALL Thursday and Friday classes on all campuses are also canceled. Online classes will proceed as scheduled. WKU offices will be closed on Thursday, with essential personnel reporting.

WKU Owensboro closed at noon today (Wed., 3/4).

WKU Glasgow evening classes that begin at 5 pm today will be canceled and the WKU Glasgow campus will close at 7 pm.

WKU Elizabethtown-Fort Knox campus will close today at 3 pm and will remain closed Thurs., Fri, and Sat., March 5-7.

Should inclement weather make travel hazardous, residence halls will remain open until Saturday. Follow WKU Housing & Residence Life for updates.

The high school regional basketball tournament games scheduled for tonight have been canceled. Games will be rescheduled for Friday/Saturday. Follow WKU News for the latest updates. #WKUAlert

Activate your Parking Permit, taste test food from WKU Restaurant Group, tour the Downing Student Union, explore the campus aboard a Parking and Transportation Shuttle, and learn about parking!

6-8 PM:

Educational Sessions              


Sessions designed to provide you with information and resources to help you make both a successful academic, and social, transition to WKU. The sessions will cover a variety of topics - from navigating campus, parking, campus resources, student services, and time management, to balancing home life and college life, and getting and staying involved in campus activities - that reflect some of the transitional issues first year Commuter students face during their first semester in college.

Commuter Student Ambassadors

Commuter Student Ambassadors assist with the implementation of the MPC program and serve as Peer Mentors to MPC participants. CSAs are always on-hand to answer your questions, provide tips for success, and share their experiences. Consider your CSA your College Transition Guide...helping lead you to success at WKU!

Participant Expectations

MPC participants are expected to attend all group meetings, educational sessions, and special events not listed as "optional", as well as take advantage of the opportunity to socialize with fellow MPC participants at the nightly social events. Come to MPC with a positive attitude, great enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn! The MPC staff has worked hard to ensure the program is the best it can be, with fun, engaging and interactive sessions. But, your participation will be the determining factor in how much you enjoy the experience. We give 110% and we're hoping you'll do the same!
