Gwen Thompson, Director of the Mary Todd Lincoln House in Lexington, will be here on March 17, 2019, at 3pm for a lecture titled “First Lady of Controversy:  Mary Todd Lincoln.”   

December 2018 marked the 200th anniversary of the birth of Kentucky native Mary Todd Lincoln, wife of Abraham Lincoln. Sophisticated and educated, Mrs. Lincoln seemed poised for success as first lady.

Yet, few women in American history have endured as much tragedy and controversy. Join us to learn more about this fascinating woman.
