The Southern Kentucky Book Fest is a two day community event. Day 1 is Children's Day which is held Friday and is devoted to school children in grades K-12, librarians, and educators. Students have the opportunity to meet and hear from their favorite authors, participate in dramatic and musical performances, and exercise their creativity in the make and do area. It's lots of fun for teachers and parents too! In 2015, Children's Day will be on Friday, April 17 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Day 2 is held on Saturday and is the major book festival and signing event. It will take place on Saturday, April 18 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Some of the activities from Children's Day are repeated, plus adult authors and presentations are added. Admission to both days is generally free except for special ticketed events that are announced in advance.

For more information, or if you would like to bring your class to Children's Day, please contact Lisa Rice at 270-781-4882, ext. 202. To register online, click the "Event Registration" button at the top of this page.
