Mr. Dick Gladden
President, The Data Vault
A native of Louisville, Richard (Dick) Gladden graduated from Western Kentucky University in 1973 with a degree in Marketing. After spending nearly a decade in retail and branch banking with the former Avery Federal Savings & Loan Association (now Fifth Third Bank), he left to form The Data Vault, storing and managing corporate information. Dick still owns and actively manages The Data Vault, which has added several varied information management business units in the ensuing years.
Active in community, professional, and industry-related organizations, Dick has served on the Board of Directors of the industry trade association, PRISM, and as Chairman of the Board of National Records Centers (NRC), a New Jersey based consortium of independent businesses united to handle national business opportunities. Formerly active with the Louisville Chapter of Association of Records Managers and Administrators (ARMA), he was named Chapter Member of the Year in 1986 and 1987. Dick has also been involved in the Kentucky Derby Festival, Sales & Marketing Executives, and numerous other organizations.
On a personal level, Dick enjoys camera collecting and photography, is a past president of the Leica Historical Society of America, and is presently working on a nut-and-bolt restoration of a 1949 Packard automobile. He and his wife Elizabeth have two daughters and five grandchildren, all of whom live in Louisville.
