Yearbook Mark of Excellence Awards

The annual Mark of Excellence Yearbook Awards competition is held each fall in order to accommodate both spring and fall delivery books.

General Rules

  • Only 2019-20 yearbooks will be judged.

  • DEADLINE: All entries must be submitted using the online form below by Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2020, at 10 p.m. Central Time. For the overall categories that require a book to be mailed, you must plan to have the book arrive at WKU by Thursday, Nov. 19 — this is a strict deadline for the book to be received as WKU will be closed for Thanksgiving break the following week and then moving classes online for the remainder of the semester, so package delivery on campus is likely to be inconsistent after that date.

  • We will not have funds to mail books back but will be glad to hold onto it until you can pick it up if you request that we do so.

  • The Kentucky High School Media Institute reserves the right to publish portions of any entries for educational purposes.

  • At least three entries must be received in each category for judging to take place, so there is a possibility that some categories may not be judged.

  • All decisions are final and entries that do not meet the requirements will be disqualified.

  • Winners will be posted on this website, and an announcement emaild to entrants, by Dec. 17.
