Internship/Independent Study with Kentucky Museum Education
WKU students may be eligible to complete internships or independent study with the Kentucky Museum. Recent examples of student Museum internships/independent study include:
- Folk Studies intern assisted with the completion of a major traveling educational learning exhibit, as well as worked as a Civil War field trip guide.
- History Department Independent Study student was an experienced historical reenactor. He assisted in the creation of a variety of resources and curriculum, and performed for numerous field trip audiences.
- Art Education intern developed programming and worked with a variety of K-6 audiences.
- Public Relations students have done a variety of internships including ones involving graphic design and social media.
Kentucky Museum accepts interns and independent study students based upon museum schedule, availability of projects, and recommendation of applicant by professor or department. For more information contact Christy Spurlock.
