Kentucky Museum - Fall Break Camp

Explore art and culture at the Kentucky Museum.

Kentucky Museum's Fall Break Camp will emphasize weaving.  Campers will discover Kentucky's white oak basket weaving tradition while exploring the White Oak Basket Exhibit. They will learn how to prepare and use natural materials such as reed, bark, willow, and honeysuckle to weave. They will design and weave a basket and a wall hanging. Campers will learn to weave a traditional Cherokee weaving pattern, weave a horse ornament and more. 

Campers take a snack break around 10:15 daily with snack and drink provided by the Museum.

Ages 6 - 13

Member fee - $110        Non-members fee- $125

Cancellation policy:

  • Full refund canceling more than 30 days prior to camp.
  • 50% refund when canceling 30-15 days prior to camp.
  • No refund 15 days prior to camp.
