The Advisory Board encourages parents, community representatives and educators to meet on a quarterly basis to discuss the program and make recommendations about programming and educational initiatives. KAP publishes a quarterly newsletter which has news about each program, elementary, middle school, high school and post secondary, as well as a feature article either written by or about a KAP participant. KAP encourages parents to be involved in the Bowling Green Area Autism and Asperger's Parent Support Group. Email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information. This is an informal way to assist parents so they can gain the information needed to become effective advocates for their child. While the teenager is participating in the Teen Council meeting and social activity, the parents are in the university dining facility; discussing a topic they selected with a faculty member or agency staff.
