International Year of Bosnia and Herzegovina Exhibitions
Exhibitions offer audiences the opportunity to further engage the target IYO country through object-based learning and oral histories. By bringing guests face-to-face with artifacts and stories, the IYO Bosnia and Herzegovina exhibitions helped guests explore Bosnia through a new lense and facilitated ongoing knowledge acquisiton.
As part of their on-going oral history project, the Kentucky Folklife Program is proud to present A Culture Carried: Bosnians in Bowling Green (Kulturno naslijeđe Bosanci u Bowling Green-u) at the Kentucky Museum. Originally scheduled for a run from September 29, 2017 through June 30, 2018, the exhibit has been extended to May 11, 2019. This exhibit is a partnership with the Bowling Green Bosnia Oral History Project, Kentucky Museum, and WKU Department of Folk Studies & Anthropology.
An exhibition of work by contemporary artists of Bosnian and Balkan origin, curated by Yvonne Petkus (Art), participant in the ZSEIFS to Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2017. This exhibition was on display in the Ivan Wilson Fine Arts Center gallery from January - April of 2018
