Audio Conferencing


WKU has two main methods for audio conferencing:

  • Cisco Phone - connects up to 6 participants
  • Hosted Audio Conferencing - connects up to 25 participants

ITS provides all telephone services for the University as well as voice mail service.

Cisco Phones

With your Cisco phone, you have the ability to make a conference call that includes yourself and five other people. To start a conference call on your Cisco phone, please see the Creating a Conference Call knowledge base article.

Hosted Audio Conferencing

With hosted audio conferencing you can request an audio conference call that includes yourself and 24 other people. With hosted audio conferencing, participants can either dial using a toll free number, or a local number. 

To request a hosted audio conference, please submit an audio conference request via the Service Catalog, Online Chat, or call 270-745-7000.

You will need to have the following information ready to make your request:

  • Date of Conference
  • Time of Conference with time zone
  • # of participants

If you use the Service Catalog, you can browse a large list of available ITS services.  In this instance, choose Voice Services, or search on keywords using the search box on the right.  The Service Catalog will prompt you for information to begin your request, saving you time and a phone call.  Additionally, with the service catalog, you can track the progress of your request.
