Windows Vista End-of-Life

Microsoft announced that it will be ending support for Windows Vista next month.  Beginning April 11, 2017, the product will no longer receive security updates, non-security hotfixes, free or paid assisted support options, or online technical content updates from Microsoft.   

Computers running on the Vista operating system will continue to work after support ends however, users that continue to do so will have an increased risk of their device becoming infected with malware or other security threats.  Users are encouraged to upgrade to a system that is currently supported although it's worth noting this most likely will involve purchasing a new device.

TopperTech will continue to assist students who have questions about upgrading their Vista device.  However, congruent with Microsoft, TopperTech will cease providing Vista operating system support on April 11, 2017.  Further information can be found at
