Getter Lamberg, International Student Diplomat


Getter

Getter (GiGi) Lemberg is from Tartu, Estonia. She currently holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from WKU and is currently pursuing a master’s in social work. Getter speaks Estonian, English and some Russian. She has been involved in track and field most of her life and was part of WKU’s track and field team 2016-2019. Getter is a graduate assistant in the WKU Center for Applied Sciences in Health and Aging, and the President of WKU chapter Phi Alpha Honor Society for social workers. She has volunteered at the International Center of Kentucky, where she helped refugees settle in Bowling Green and apply for various social benefits. Getter enjoys nature walks and watching criminal shows/documentaries. Her favorite parts of WKU are the people and the beautiful campus.

 

“My goal as an International Student Diplomat is to make new international students’ lives a little easier, help and mentor them in whatever they need.” Her goal after graduation is to work with refugees or in foster care with children.
