Boiler Design and Research between China and WKU:

The Combustion Laboratory is pleased to announce an agreement between Black Dragon Double Boiler Stock Co (BDDB), Paras Research Co., and the Combustion Laboratory at WKU to develop and design an industrial boiler using a Horizontal Swirl Fluidized Bed Combustion Technique. BDDB, Paras Research Co., and the Combustion Laboratory believe that the horizontal swirl fluidized bed combustion technique meets future clean coal technology requirements of high efficiency and low pollutant boiler combustion development and possesses a wide market prospect. The Combustion Laboratory will be responsible for the design and fabrication of the cold model and associated research. It will also help BDDB complete fabrication of the horizontal swirl fluidized bed combustion boiler. President Ma of BDDB will visit WKU in the spring of 2004 to discuss the progress of the project.
