WKU is proud to offer an award winning approach to our health plan offerings– designed to reward you for taking an active role in your health and well-being and to slow the growth of health care costs for you and WKU.
Our innovative health plan choices come with a type of savings account—either a Health Savings Account (HSA) or Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA)—to help you pay for eligible medical expenses. When you make the Top Life Pledge, you’ll be enrolled in the “Healthy” medical plan of your choice. One feature of the “Healthy” plans is a contribution from WKU to your savings account to help you cover eligible health care expenses and meet your deductible. Whether you’ll see an increase or decrease in your monthly premium depends on the plan you elect, whom you cover, and if you complete the Top Life Pledge. Spouses/Partners enrolled in the health plan will be included in wellness services and will be eligible to earn incentives.
To maintain the credits and discount on your health plan premiums, you and your spouse/partner must earn 150 wellness points by December 15, 2017 (Tier I) and an additional 250 points by September 1, 2018 (Tier II); minimum of 400 total points.
