Every year, the National Association of College and University Residence Halls (NACURH) provides opportunities to promote student leaders on the national and regional level. WKU falls within the South Atlantic Affiliate of College and University Residence Halls (SAACURH). Therefore, this fall student leaders have the opportunity to attend SAACURH – Regional Leadership Conference.
The conference will be held from October 20th – October 22nd and is being hosted at the University of West Georgia in Carrolton, GA.
At this conference, student leaders are able to: (1) gain leadership skills, (2) interactively learn about successful programmatic opportunities on other college campuses, (3) network amongst students in the region, (4) participate in large-scale philanthropic events, (5) present a session at a regional conference, and so much more!
SAACURH 2017 has placed a delegation cap of a maximum of 7 students from each individual institution to attend. Given this, we are unable to allow everyone to attend SAACURH; however, future conferences will be available for students to attend during the 2017-2018 academic year such as KARH, Kentucky Association of Residence Halls, and NACURH, National Association of College and University Residence Halls.

NACURH hosts an annual conference that takes place each summer. More information will be posted here once it becomes available.
The South Atlantic Affiliate is the largest affiliate of NACURH, and is comprised of the nine most southeastern states in North America. These states include Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. The South Atlantic Affiliate of College and University Residence Halls (SAACURH) was formed in 1964 to advocate on behalf of all affiliated schools. While most affiliates of NACURH have a Regional Board of Directors, SAACURH has the SAACURH Executive Committee that is charged with the daily functions of the region and serve as a resource to our affiliated institutions.
SAACURH hosts two conferences each academic year: the Regional Leadership Conference and the Regional Business Conference. If you are interested in the regional conference, please continue to check back here to apply.
KARH is the Kentucky Association of Residence Halls! We are an organization that helps to unite all the universities and colleges in Kentucky through conferences and information exchange! We serve as the central hub that connects all the schools together. We are here to make sure that all the schools affiliated with KARH receive all the information they need regarding conferences, housing, and other schools. We want to insure that Kentucky “houses” the best leaders in regards to Residence Halls!
KARH hosts a state conference each year, typically in February. WKU would like to see you attend, so please check back for the application in November.
