WKU Housing & Residence Life will have a viewing area outside of Bemis Lawrence Hall available on Regents Avenue to watch the beginning of demolition on Friday, September 6 at 9 AM.
Donuts and coffee will be served.
Full demolition will take approximately 90 days to complete.
Bemis Lawrence Hall was built in 1966. It is named in honor of Bemis Lawrence who was Vice Chairman of the WKU Board of Regents from 1955-1966.
Construction has begun on The First Year Village, which will include two new residence halls that feature pod-style housing and will be home to WKU's Living Learning Communities. Learn more at www.wku.edu/housing/future.
