Biography

Hi! My name is Riley Crawford, and I am a senior biology and chemistry major from Science Hill, KY. My goal is to pursue medical school so that I can serve my community as a physician. Although my background information does tell you a little bit about me, it doesn’t really show you who I am.

If there was one thing that I am known for on campus, it would most definitely be my bike. You will rarely catch me without it, as it is my primary mode of transportation. I love going biking, whether it is casual rides around WKU’s beautiful campus or going on long rides with some of my fraternity brothers. Closely associated to biking, I just really enjoy playing sports, so you can often find me passing a disc on South Lawn, participating in a host of intramurals, or playing sand volleyball at Preston Miller Park. My favorite place on campus has to be the Honors College and International Center because of so many late nights studying in those study rooms. It’s funny because there is even a group message containing the people that are always there, and yeah, I’m one of them.

The Mahurin Honors College offers so many ways to get involved on campus and in the community. However, I urge incoming students not to just get “involved” but to gain experiences. Experiences, not involvement, enable growth and really makes the college experience so important. My experiences are what makes me passionate about this university and the Mahurin Honors College, and I would absolutely love to share those with you sometime soon. Please feel free to reach out to me by email, social media, or even phone.

As the other HonorsToppers would also say, I would love for you to reach out with any questions, concerns, or if you are just looking for someone with whom to chat.
