The MHC HonorsToppers
- Hometown: Walton, KY
- Major: Meteorology
- Class of 2022
Hey there! My name is Kayla Krohman, and I am a senior Meteorology student here at WKU. I call Walton, KY home and Bowling Green, KY my second home. A few activities I’m involved with include AMS/NWA Meteorology club President and Christian Student Fellowship. I also write forecasts for the university as well as wxornotBG.
Three fun facts about me are: 1.) I've been to 14 different countries, 2.) I've never had a brain freeze, 3.) I despise coffee and tea.
Being able to serve as an ambassador to the Mahurin Honors College through Honorstoppers has been one of my favorite experiences here on the hill. I truly value the opportunities I get to interact with prospective students through tours, admissions meetings, and other events. My VIP tour I went on while still in high school opened my eyes to realize that WKU would be my perfect home away from home. Getting to provide this same service to students who come after me has been one of the most rewarding feelings of my college experience thus far.
Before coming to college and before coming to Western in specific, I was very anxious and had a number of questions. For instance, I didn’t know how I could fit in to a university that was three hours from home and was even nervous that I would get lost on campus. These worries plus more were relieved when I attended my VIP tour and was reassured by my kind tour guides that I would find my place. You too can/will have this same experience.
If you have any questions before or after your VIP tour, please do not hesitate to email me @firstname.lastname@example.org. As always, go TOPS!
