The MHC HonorsToppers
- Public Relations, MHC Scholars of Color
- Hometown: Hopkinsville, KY
- Major: Nursing and Psychology
Hello all! I’m Ariana Martinez from Hopkinsville, Kentucky. I’m majoring in Nursing with a minor in Psychology. I transferred to Western my sophomore year and it’s been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Compared to other universities, Western was able to offer me a more personalized and authentic college experience. The variety of organizations, its diversity, and the supportive community that Western offers, made me chose this wonderful campus.
This is my first year as an HonorsTopper. I’m so excited to meet new prospective students and give tours around Western’s beautiful campus. Alongside HonorsToppers, I’m an ISEC CAReS scholar and an ISEC Navigator. I’m an active member of WKU HOLAS and St. Thomas Newman Center.
Any transfer, current, or prospective students, do not hesitate to ask questions. It’s a scary procedure to start something new but trust the process. I can’t wait to meet you and let’s Go Tops!
I can’t wait to pursue this wonderful organization and see MHC Scholars of Color flourish throughout the years. I’m very grateful to be in an organization that represents diversity, passion, and devotion. I’m currently an HonorsTopper and an ISEC Navigator. Being able to represent both these distinguished organizations of WKU gives me motivation to strive alongside admirable individuals. I’m excited to commit myself to MHC Scholars of Color and interact with current and prospective members. I’m very hopeful that Scholars of Color will provide a prominent role to individuals from different backgrounds in the Mahurin Honors College. I’m thrilled to see what this organization has to offer and what every member can contribute towards Scholars of Color.
