Curriculum

***This curriculum page is designed for scholars entering the MHC from another four year institution (transfer), community college, or are a current WKU student.
If you are a high school student, your curriculum is here.***

There are three academic tracks that a scholar can be placed into within the Mahurin Honors College:

  1. Non-Thesis track
  2. Capstone Experience/Thesis (CE/T) track
  3. Honors in the Major track.

Your placement in a track will dependent on the number of credits you have earned, how many of those were honors, and your proposed graduation plan.

With that being said, we want you to know that our advising team is here for you.

Notes:

  • Scholars who complete one of these tracks and graduate with a minimum 3.2 GPA are recognized as “Mahurin Honors College” or “Honors in the Major” graduates by a designation on their final transcripts. Graduates also receive distinctive medallions to be worn at Commencement.
  • Scholars may change from thesis track to non-thesis, or vice versa, through their MHC advisor.
