Biography

Sara Moody is a graduate of the WKU Mahurin Honors College (‘12) and is now completing doctoral coursework at the University of Kentucky in the Educational Leadership Program. As a Mahurin Honors College scholar, Sara's coursework allowed her to participate in intensive language courses, faculty-mentored research, internships, and professional conference presentations abroad in six countries (Belize, Canada, China, United Arab Emirates, India, and Sweden). With support from the WKU Office of Scholar Development, Sara received the Foundation for Global Scholarship and Foundation for Asian Pacific Education nationally competitive awards.

Advising has become one of Sara’s core passions and she is excited to nourish this passion in her work with current MHC scholars. Additionally, Sara is a facilitator for Community Action of Southern Kentucky and the Kentucky Office of Refugees for trauma-informed care projects in the Bowling Green refugee community.
