Please help me in welcoming Alex Hezik as the new CE/T Advisor. Alex is an August 2017 Honors College and Chinese Flagship graduate with a B.S. in Honors Self-Designed Studies (Sustainable Agriculture). During her time as an undergrad, she studied abroad a total of nine times, having had the opportunity to explore Ecuador (twice) & the Galapagos Islands, China (four times), the British Virgin Islands, Sweden, Denmark, Iceland (twice), the U.K., and Taiwan. A recipient of a Benjamin A. Gilman Scholarship for International Study, a U.S. Department of State Critical Language Scholarship, and a 2015-17 U.S. EPA Greater Research Opportunities (GRO) Undergraduate Fellowship, Alex was also a finalist for the Truman Scholarship and, following graduation, received a Fulbright grant to conduct sustainable agriculture-related research in Taiwan.
Outside of the office, you can find Alex working the market booth at Community Farmers Market on any given Saturday morning. She enjoys baking, hiking, gardening, trying new foods, traveling, and cuddling with her two small dogs, Tali and Leia.
