Hilltopper Astronomy Club events

Monthly Telescope Viewings:

  • On the second Wednesday night of every month during the school year, there is a telescope viewing at the observatory on the roof of the TCCW building (attached to the Planetarium via the breezeway). It is open to the public and free of charge. It is usually proceeded by a Hilltopper Astronomy Club meeting (also open and free to anyone) which often includes a program at the Planetarium. Participants then proceed to the roof of TCCW for the viewing.  For more information and exact times in any given month, contact David Laney at clifton.laney@wku.edu, or join the Planetarium email list (click here) to be notified.

 

International Observe the Moon Night:

  • On October 28, 2017, there will be a special free program at the Planetarium at 5:30, followed by a special free telescope viewing on the roof of TCCW at 7:00 pm. Open to anyone in the community. Contact David Laney at clifton.laney@wku.edu for more information.

 

SKy Science Festival events

  • Monthly Science Cafe:

  • On the last Monday night of every month during the school year, Bowling Green's Science Café is an hour-long discussion about science with people who are eager to share their cutting edge research. There is no admission charge.

 Upcoming Science Café events, held at the 6-4-3 Café in Bowling Green, KY at 5:30 pm.
