WKU Geology Club

Mineral Sale, WKU Geology Club
More to Geology than just classes
WKU Geology club is a professional student organization that strives to build an educated
community of individuals interested in Geological Sciences. The club acts to educate
the public, promote the Geological Sciences, EEAS department, support current members,
aid members in academics and outreach, and most importantly, have fun! Members of
the club help others to make connections with faculty, community, organization, and
industry in order to build community and to aid in the transition of joining the workforce.
The club promotes the American Institute of Professional Geologists, Geological Society
of America, Association of Petroleum Geologists, and the Kentucky Geological Survey.
WKU Geology club welcomes all who are interested. You don’t have to be a major to
join. The club will meet every two weeks with times to be announced at the beginning
of each semester.
The club also offers many fun activities and events to participate in! The club actively
fundraises by rock and mineral sales, bake sale, and and other activities. The money
raised from that will go towards going on fun camping trips, guest speakers, food
during meetings, and so much more!
How can I be a part of the club?
