Comment from Jeanie Adams-Smith

During my spring term at Harlaxton I met dozens of people at the college and in the surrounding countryside – including farmers, storekeepers and public officials – who introduced me to Lincolnshire. It is a bustling, beautiful and diverse area that reveals the England of today while reminding us of the England in "Downton Abbey." The people of the English Midlands embrace their history as a part of their daily lives, and they offer a great opportunity for photography.

Comment from Dr. Eric Reed

Offering HIST 340 at Harlaxton in will allow students to experience Great Britain's popular culture while taking the course. Together with the  digital photography students, the history course will make the Harlaxton experience particularly rich for students.
