Western Kentucky University offers a reduced tuition rate to any qualified, non-resident student whose parent, stepparent or grandparent holds an associate, baccalaureate, master’s, doctoral or specialist degree or has completed a certified program from the University.
Non-resident beginning freshmen, with an ACT composite score of 20 (SAT total score of 1020) or higher and a high school GPA of at least 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale), qualify for a reduced tuition rate (equivalent to the Tuition Incentive Program rate).
Non-resident readmit students or students transferring from an accredited college or university, with a cumulative college GPA of 2.2 or higher and at least 24 credit hours completed, qualify for a reduced tuition rate (equivalent to the Tuition Incentive Program rate).
The Alumni Grant is applicable to non-resident students only. Kentucky residents do not qualify for the Alumni Grant (the tuition charge for resident students is less than the Tuition Incentive Program rate received by Alumni Grant recipients). The Alumni Grant is not applicable to students already qualifying for the Tuition Incentive Program rate based on county of residence.
Alumni Grant recipients are charged tuition at the Tuition Incentive Program rate; therefore the University Merit Non-Resident Targeted Scholarship does not apply.
Non-resident graduate students admitted in good standing qualify for a reduced tuition rate (equivalent to the Graduate Resident rate).
