The Department of Student Financial Assistance is always ready to help our Hilltopper family! To assist students in the safest manner, we offer several convenient ways to contact our office. More information about this can be found below.

 

Appointments through Zoom 

Zoom counseling sessions are available by appointment by emailing fa.counselors@wku.edu if you are a returning student, OR by emailing fa.begin@wku.edu if you are a beginning freshman

Zoom appointments with counselors are typically available Monday thru Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m and 4:00 p.m. CST and occasionally during evening hours.

What is Zoom? 

Zoom is a video communications tool, with an easy, reliable cloud platform for video and audio conferencing, collaboration, chat, and webinars across mobile devices, desktops, telephones, and room systems.

Reaching Our Staff by Phone or Email 

In order to help avoid the possible spread of COVID-19, we encourage you to give us a call at 270-745-2755 between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:00 pm CST. You can also submit your question via email to fa.help@wku.edu. When sending us an email, please be sure to include your WKU ID number

 


Visiting Our Department On-Campus 

You may visit us on the 3rd Floor of Potter Hall if you need to drop-off paperwork or scholarship checks. With your health as our priority, visitors will be required to wear a mask and observe social distancing.

Counseling is available online through Zoom, and you can also contact our department by sending an email to fa.help@wku.edu or by calling us at 270-745-2755. 

Additionally, students now have the ability to log in through our mobile app when within 1/4 mile of our office. This will allow you to check-in on your own mobile device, wait wherever you feel most comfortable, and we will then send you a text when the next staff member is available.

Information About SAP: In response to the academic disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the U.S. Department of Education has recently released new guidelines which will affect current Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) requirements.
