WKU offices in Bowling Green will open at 10 a.m. Friday. Classes Friday remain canceled and campuses in Glasgow, Owensboro and Elizabethtown/Ft. Knox remain closed Friday. Saturday classes in Bowling Green will proceed as scheduled. Bio

Ms. K. Ann Mead, Senior Vice President for Finance & Administration and Treasurer has been with the University since 1994, also serving as Director of Budget and Management Information, Director of Institutional Research, Assistant to the President for Economic Development, and as Chief Financial Officer. Ms. Mead has served as a part-time faculty member since 2007.

Ms. Mead’s duties include overseeing the financial operations of the University and the Division of Finance & Administration which includes approximately 100 employees and serving as a liaison with the community and state government on financial matters. The division includes: Chief Financial Officer; Budget; Human Resources; Health Services; and Internal Auditor.

Ms. Mead has a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce from the University of Louisville and a Master's of Business Administration from the University of Kentucky.  Ms. Mead spent 10 years as Director of Finance with the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education and nine years at the University of Kentucky’s Office of Planning and Budget. Current and past board service includes SPE II, Inc.; Central Region Innovation and Commercialization Center, Inc.; Bowling Area Chamber of Commerce; CITE, Inc.;  WKU Foundation; WKU Research Foundation; Barren River Area Development Council; and Junior Achievement of South Central Kentucky.
