Advice for Exploratory Students

What’s one piece of advice you would give to an incoming Exploratory student?

Do not stress, but do not waste time. It is okay to not have a major picked out, but it is also important to use the resources on campus and find the right one for you.

What tips would you give students about getting involved on campus?

My only tip is just to go to campus events. Go to the fairs and walk up to the tables and talk to people. There are so many things to get involved in on campus, you just have to find them.

What campus resources helped you find a major?

My advisor, Kassy, mainly. She not only pointed me in the right direction to find all the campus resources that are available to exploratory students, but also helped me sort through the questions and doubts I had as far as picking my major.

What campus organizations are you involved in?

I am involved in the Honors College, I have a job on campus in DSU, and I am an Exploratory Ambassador.
