Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Programs for Faculty and Staff
The Reluctant Readers Book Club, sponsored by the Office of the Chief Diversity Officer, is designed to introduce students to books that are more reflective of their worldview, all while enhancing a student’s language skills. Students are partnered with a faculty/staff member, and will engage in a short common read for the duration of the semester.
Zero to Two, and You is an orientation and transition program for new and young (zero to two years experience) professionals of color within the Division of Student Affairs.
The program involves monthly interactive drop-in meet-ups, one-on-one and multi-directional mentoring, and panel and small group discussions. Participants will further explore content delivered during the live meet-ups through private reflection, paired and small group conversation, and activities outside these sessions.
