In accordance with the Kentucky Public Postsecondary Education Diversity Policy for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, the Council on Postsecondary Education requires an institutional diversity plan. Western Kentucky University's University-Wide Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Plan, as mandated, focuses on each of the following three (3) areas.

The University-Wide Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Plan for academic year 2017-2022 was approved by Western Kentucky University's Board of Regents on October 27, 2017.
