Fall Recognition Ceremonies

College Special Recognition Ceremonies

When: Visit our schedule listing for times by college
Where: E.A. Diddle Arena
Parking: PS1, PS2, PS3 (MAP)

Faculty should be dressed in regalia and will arrive at the time determined and communicated by the dean's office of your respective college.  Each college has a specfic ceremony.  Students will be individually recognized at these ceremonies.  You can expect an abbreviated version of the typical past commencement ceremonies at these events.

  


 

Spring Commencement and Recognition Ceremonies

May 15-16, 2020

 

Friday, May 15

Topper Walk and Commencement Ceremony

When: TBA
Where: Kentucky Museum / Houchens Industries-L.T. Smith Stadium
Parking: PS1 and PS2 (MAP)

Faculty should be dressed in regalia and should line up together at the Kentucky Museum at 5:00 pm on Friday, May 15. The procession will begin at 6:00 pm and the ceremony will begin once the graduates have all been seated inside Houchens Industries - L.T. Smith Stadium. 

All faculty will process together and will lead the students from the Kentucky Museum down the Avenue of Champions and into Smith Stadium.  Faculty will be seated together.  The ceremony is expected to last approximately one hour once all graduates have been seated.

Following the Commencement Ceremony, Faculty are invited to join the graduates and families at the Big Red Bash and Fireworks on South Lawn.  Each college will have a tent.  There will be food and entertainment.  DSU rooms 1063, 1068 and 1069 will be reserved as faculty regalia storage rooms following Commencement. 

At the end of the Friday evening events, WKU Special Events staff will move your regalia into the Diddle Arena Visitor Locker Room so that it will be waiting there for you on Saturday for your college's Special Recognition Ceremony.  Please label your regalia if you plan to take advantage of this service.

 

Saturday, May 16: College Special Recognition Ceremonies
