1, 2, or 3 hours of graduate credit
To earn graduate credit, students must participate in thirty (30) hours of a workshop
at the 2020 WKU Advanced Placement Summer Institute (APSI). Additional assignments
are listed below depending on the number of graduate credits required.
One Hour of Graduate Credit
Students will submit five reflections, one for each day of the APSI. Each reflection
should be 2-3 pages. Additionally, students must include 2-3 pages that outline one specific and new strategy learned at the APSI that will be implemented in his/her
classroom for the upcoming school year.
Two Hours of Graduate Credit
Students will submit five reflections, one for each day of the APSI. Each reflection
should be 2-3 pages. Additionally, students must include 5-6 pages that outline two specific and new strategies learned at the APSI that will be implemented in his/her
classroom for the upcoming school year.
Three Hours of Graduate Credit
Students will submit five reflections, one for each day of the APSI. Each reflection
should be 2-3 pages. Additionally, students must include 8-10 pages that outline three specific and new strategies learned at the APSI that will be implemented in his/her
classroom for the upcoming school year.
Attendees will enroll in one, two, or three hours of graduate credit during the Summer
Session (June 2020) at Western Kentucky University. The required work is to be submitted
by July 30, 2020. The writing assignments should be submitted in a single Word document
that is double-spaced with 1-inch margins. The font should be 12-point Times New Roman.
Students will be provided with a link for submission of assignment.
