Timing: Now or Later?
Is furthering your degree a necessary step in your career path? Some undergraduate degrees are stepping stones and it’s always been known that you would immediately need to pursue graduate school. In some fields however, it may be best to gain valuable career-related work experience for a few years, and then pursue a graduate degree.

The Center for Career and Professional Development can assist you in the Graduate School Search process. Counselors can assist you in what to look for, where to look and with the application process from resumes to personal statements.
Talking with faculty from your undergraduate courses is another great place to start when considering graduate school. They can provide valuable information on schools and programs in their subject area and other specific information. This is also a great way to lay the foundation for asking to participate in research opportunities and for recommendation letters.
