Research

Ms. Barron’s teaching interests are in the principles courses for financial and managerial accounting.

Biography

Ms. Barron has several years of experience in corporate accounting, primarily defense manufacturing, where her focus was on job costing and earned value management.  She also served in several corporate roles involving college recruitment and young employee success.  She is a Certified Management Accountant and member of the Institute of Management Accountants.  Prior to teaching at Western Kentucky University, Ms. Barron taught business and accounting courses with the Kentucky Community and Technical College System.  Ms. Barron is a Master Trainer through the Association for Talent Development and active participant in Big Brothers Big Sisters Bowling Green.  She is an assistant advisor to Beta Alpha Psi and the student chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants.  Ms. Barron joined WKU August 2017.
