Dr. Hernsberger’s research focuses on how status and other social approval assets influence important strategic and financial decisions made by a firm’s leaders and other key stakeholders. He has published two peer reviewed journal articles and has presented his research at numerous conferences while at WKU. In addition, he has served on the Assurance of Learning committee, the Strategic Planning council, and the Professional Education and Knowledge committee. He has been invited to lead strategic planning sessions for the Dean’s Business Advisory Council as well as for the Department of Management. Dr. Hernsberger’s teaching interests include strategic management, general management, and new venture management.
