During the Business Executive Advisory Council (BEAC) meeting on Friday, April 5, 2013 the Council voted to support proposed renovations to the first floor of Grise Hall that will make the space look and feel more like the Gordon Ford College of Business.
The planned renovation will include a stock market ticker encircling the first floor lobby and improved seating and signage. In addition, the Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS) chapter is working on procuring a 4-foot bronze BGS Key statue for the front of the building to recognize the Chapter's Premier status.
The total cost of the renovation is planned for approximately $125,000 with the first $25,000 provided by Provost Gordon Emslie who pledged to make Grise Hall a stop on the WKU Walking Tour as an example of one of the 178 top colleges of business. The BEAC and BGS will be raising the remaining $100,000 funds for the renovation.
