Annual Agriculture Safety Day Sept. 27

More than 325 fourth-graders will attend the 14th annual Progressive Agriculture Safety Day on Sept. 27 at WKU’s L.D. Brown Agricultural Exposition Center.
The event, sponsored by Kentucky Partnership for Farm Family Health & Safety, Inc., provides information on various topics such as tractor safety, roadway safety, electrical safety, fire safety with a smoke house, bicycle safety, first aid, ATV safety, horse safety, disability awareness, firearms safety, healthy lifestyles, home alone safety, sun safety, propane safety, internet safety, lawn equipment safety and meth awareness.
Activities will begin at 9 a.m. at the Ag Expo Center off Elrod Road.

Joel Pett, publitzer prize-winning editorial cartoonist will be speaking at the next Kentucky Live event on October 19.
Lives of the Stars will be presented Oct. 24-Nov. 21 at WKU’s Hardin Planetarium.
The inaugural YAS Book Con will take place downtown and feature 35 authors.
Shelby Bandel, a graduate student in Psychological Sciences at WKU, is a recipient of a 2017 Graduate Research Scholarship from the American Psychological Foundation (APF) and the Council of Graduate Departments of Psychology.
