What is Wellness?

An Environmental U

 Environmental wellness is about appreciating and respecting our external environment. An environmentally well person is aware of the limits of earth's natural resources and understands that all human activity impacts the environment.  Environmental wellness is also surrounding oneself with positive, comforting and rejuvenating places and people.

Tips on Improving Environmental Wellness                   

1. Conserve Energy (shut off your lights, faucets, air conditioning)

2. Recycle paper, glass and cans 

3. Use recyclable bags when grocery shopping

4. Ride your bike or walk to class rather than drive

5. Attend an Outdoor Recreation Adventure Center (ORAC) trip

6. Volunteer for environmental projects on campus and in the community (WKU Recycling Center, Leadership and Volunteerism)

7. Surround yourself in a positive environment with optimistic people
