WKU Child Studies 2022 Alumna of the Year - Alayna Hawkins-Hunt
We are thrilled to announce the recipient of the WKU Child Studies 2022 Alumna of
the Year!
Alayna Hawkins-Hunt (CSW) is a 2018 graduate of the Child Studies undergraduate program
& the Family Home Visiting Certificate program. She was the recipient of the Outstanding
Child Studies (undergraduate) student in 2018. After attending the Masters of Social Work program
at WKU (2020 grad), she began her work as a child and adolescent therapist at StepStone
Family & Youth Services. Alayna is passionate about the children and adolescents in
the community. In addition to her role as a therapist at StepStone, she has developed
a lending library called 'Lily's Little Library' to assist children and adolescents
in foster care access to books to encourage them to continue reading. Additionally,
she hosts the annual blanket drive called 'Wrapped in Love.'
