Get to know Ben!

In his own words:

I am from Frankfort, KY. After high school I attended WKU from 2011-2015. While on campus I worked in the admissions office and conducted campus tours. After graduation I moved to Cincinnati, OH for my first job and I lived there for two years. I am now living in Lexington, KY and I am the admissions counselor for all high schools in Eastern Kentucky!

What sets WKU apart from the other schools?

WKU has something to offer everyone no matter their interest. We have 186 majors, over 300 clubs and organizations, and Bowling Green itself is full of things to do. Whether you enjoy the outdoors, sports, cool coffee shops and restaurants, shopping, or just hanging out WKU has it!

The number one thing I encourage future students to check out:

Check out our student activities office! There are so many ways to get involved and to find your place at WKU. The student activities office is there to help make this happen.

What is your favorite spot on WKU's campus?

My favorite spot on campus is South Lawn. This is the largest green space at WKU and there is ALWAYS something going on there. It is a perfect spot for anything from laying in the sun to playing sports to tailgating for a WKU football game.

Advice for new Hilltoppers?

Get involved on campus. The best way to make new friends and to enjoy your free time on the hill is to join a club or organization.

What I enjoy most about working in WKU Admissions:

I get to help students make one of, if not the biggest decision, they have made in life up to this point!

What does the WKU experience means to you?

The WKU experience is getting an education from the best professors that genuinely care about your future and doing so at the best university in the country!

What did you study in college?

Business Administration and Management

Why did you choose to attend WKU?

I chose WKU because it is a large university with a small university feel. As I mentioned, there is something here for everyone. Also, WKU is a beautiful campus and I could tell on my campus tour that it was a happy place to be.

My favorite WKU tradition is:

The red towel!

What can WKU give any student?

An experience catered to your wants and needs. WKU can and will make your college education exceptional no matter what you are looking for in your journey.
