What sets WKU apart from the other schools?
The endless opportunities! As a first-generation college student, I never thought I would have access or be able to leave the country and study abroad. WKU made those opportunities that seemed impossible, possible. In spring 2013, my twin sister, Alyson (who also works in Admissions), and I were the first people in our family to leave North America, where we spent the spring semester in England.
What is your favorite spot on WKU's campus?
My favorite spot on campus is called the Old Fort Area, which is behind Van Meter Hall. It’s so serene and is right in the middle of the area with the Kissing Bridge and the Trust statue. It’s truly beautiful and I’m getting married in that exact spot in October 2019.
What I enjoy most about working in WKU Admissions:
I adore the people I work with and the opportunity to work with students. I’m lucky to work in Admissions with my twin sister, Alyson, as well.
What did you study in college?
My major was Public Relations with a minor in Tourism!
What can WKU give any student?
WKU can give any student the tools they need to succeed and achieve their dreams.
Where are you from?
Morganfield, Kentucky (Union County)
