My biggest piece of advice to a new or returning Hilltopper is to get involved! This is your community so get involved in new groups or organizations, build relationships with those in your same academic program, and participate on campus. WKU became my home and I want others to experience that same sense of community and family, here on The Hill.
During my time as a student on The Hill, I was fortunate enough to participate in many organizations across campus. Many of my favorite memories come from being an active member of my sorority, serving as a WKU Spirit Master, and volunteering for a number of philanthropic events on campus such as Up Til’ Dawn and Relay for Life. One that specifically sticks out is ‘Meet Me on the Hill’ event with WKU Spirit Masters. When chosen, all the Spirit Masters meet in front of Cherry Hall at midnight to greet the new class, congratulate each other, and share our excitement to give back to a place that has given us so much.
