FAQ for New Hilltoppers

Like you and your family, WKU is taking steps to limit the exposure of COVID-19. Also like many of you, these steps have started a new "normal" for us, and we want to keep you informed as plans change. If a question or concern you have isn't answered below, please contact us or chat with us.

Recently WKU made available a draft of the Big Red Restart Plan which details the university's intentions for reopening our campus. Among the information in this document, there are few important things we want to bring to your attention:

  • A modified fall schedule
  • Additional safety procedures
  • Information about the start of the semester, including M.A.S.T.E.R. Plan

This document will continue to evolve as the university receives feedback from faculty, staff, and students. We encourage you to bookmark and frequently check our official Restart Page for access to important updates.

Finally, we want you to know that WKU is sensitive to the economic situation many families are currently facing. With that in mind, we have made the decision to freeze the tuition rate for the upcoming academic year, so your tuition will remain the same as it was for the 2019-2020 academic year. These are certainly unprecedented times, and we don't want rising tuition costs to be an obstacle as you begin your WKU experience.

More information about spring 2021 will be available on the Healthy on The Hill page.
