WKU offices in Bowling Green will open at 10 a.m. Friday. Classes Friday remain canceled and campuses in Glasgow, Owensboro and Elizabethtown/Ft. Knox remain closed Friday. Saturday classes in Bowling Green will proceed as scheduled. Bio

Dr. Brian W. Meredith was named as WKU’s Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management in July 2011.  He is responsible for the Academic Advising & Retention Center, Office of Admissions, Student Financial Assistance, Office of the Registrar, College Readiness, Retention and Student Services, Student Athlete Success Center, and TRIO Programs.

Dr. Meredith earned a doctorate of education with a higher and adult education concentration from The University of Memphis, a master of science with a higher education concentration from Mississippi State University, and a bachelor of public administration from the University of Mississippi. Dr. Meredith has worked in recruitment, admissions, orientation, and academic counseling for the past 16 years, and has taught the Freshman Orientation course for more than 10 years.

Prior to his arrival at WKU, Dr. Meredith served as the Director of Admissions at The University of Memphis from 2008 until 2011.  He has been a Telecounseling Coordinator, Adult-Transfer Student Counselor, Visitation Counselor, Associate Director of Admissions, and Director of Recruitment and Orientation Services, among other positions at Memphis. He received the Distinguished Administrator of the Year Award at The University of Memphis in 2008.
