WKU Accounting Honors Outstanding Alumni:
Frank Myers ('69) and Emily Drumwright ('04)

Mr. Frank Myers
Outstanding Alumnus

Mr. Myers is a 1969 Accounting Graduate of the Gordon Ford College of Business. While at WKU, he met Martha (Marty) Cooper. After graduating from WKU and marrying Marty, he served his country during the Vietnam War. Following his military service in the U.S. Army, Mr. Myers earned his MBA from Florida State University. His professional career includes 23 years in various capacities at Cobb Electric Corporation (COBB EMC) in Atlanta, Georgia. Cobb EMC started as an electric utility with 489 residential members and 14 commercial accounts. With more than 197,000 meters representing 175,000 members, Cobb EMC is now among the largest of Georgia's 42 EMCs and one of the largest of the nation's over 900 EMCs. Mr. Myers is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Treasury Professional (CTP), and currently serves as the Senior Vice President of Finance of COBB EMC. He is active in numerous professional and civic organizations. Mr. and Mrs. Myers have two children, Rebecca and Bryan, and two grandchildren.


Emily Drumwright
Outstanding Recent Alumna

Ms. Drumwright is a 2004 Accounting Graduate of the Gordon Ford College of Business. Upon graduation, she began her professional career with Ernst & Young (E & Y) in Nashville, Tennessee. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and currently holds the position of Manager of Assurance with E & Y. Her professional experience includes providing auditing services to several of the largest companies in the U.S. She participated in a SEC filing of the largest debt offering since the recent financial crisis. She also participated in what was the largest U.S. private-equity backed public offering in U.S. history at that time. Ms. Drumwright presents CPE programs and provides support and leadership in professional and community organizations including volunteer assistance to the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. She is a big fan of the Titans and the Predators and loves to stay active herself. She recently completed the Country Music Half Marathon.
