Task 1: Vocabulary
The Polar Express contains a few words with meanings you may or may not know. The following activity is to help you get a better understanding of those words.
The materials manager should print out a copy of the Vocabulary Worksheet for everyone in the group. Do not hand them out until you are prompted to.

1. Do you know what these words mean? If you do, GREAT! If you don't, you are in for a learning experience!
2. Now, show me what you know. The materials manager should hand out the vocabulary worksheet and pencils to everyone on the group. Each group member should match the word with the definition.
3. If you don't get one right, be sure to mark the right answer so you can refer back to this while reading your book.
