COURSE DESCRIPTION: The management of the direct resources required to produce goods and services.  Operations objectives are cascaded through the organization and are translated into measurable terms that become part of the operating goals for production-related departments and their managers.
PREREQUISITES:  junior standing
FACTORS COMPOSING FINAL GRADE: EXAMINATIONS: There will be six twenty-five point quizzes.  The lowest grade of the first five quizzes will be dropped.  There will be no make-up tests!!!!

OPTIONAL ASSIGNED PROBLEMS: There will be at least one assigned problem for each chapter if problems are provided. A typed report is required for each problem using the format provided.  Each problem or problem set will be worth a maximum of five points.  As a result, the problems will be the equivalent of two exams.

GRADING SCALE:  The class median will be assigned as 80%, which is the lowest “B”.  Ten percent above the class median will be the lowest “A”;  ten percent below the class median will be the lowest “C”; and twenty percent below the class median will be the lowest “D”.
 

IN ORDER TO ACCOMMODATE STUDENTS WITH LEARNING DISABILITIES PROTECTED BY THE ADA, IT IS REQUIRED THAT A COVERED STUDENT INFORM THE PROFESSOR OF THEIR STATUS WITHIN THE FIRST TWO CLASS MEETINGS.
