LME 535 Character Study Focus: Brian Robeson from the novel Hatchet by Gary Paulsen |
*The resource manager will click HERE to view and print the character web resource. Print one copy. (Make sure your printer is set to print in landscape mode.)
*The group will come up with four adjectives that describe Brian's character.
*In the circles connected to the "Brian" box, the writer will write the four adjectives that the group brainstormed.
*The group will brainstorm about ideas in the story that support the character adjectives they used to describe Brian. For example, if your group said that Brian was stubborn, think of an event in the story that lets you know he's stubborn.
*After the group comes up with proof for their character adjectives, the reader will look through the book and find the event.
*In the squares connected to the character adjective circles, the writer will write a brief description of the event and the page number it is found on.
*After the web is complete, the reporter will share the group's character web with the rest of the class.
